Chair

Rabbi Alfred grew up in London and read Classics at King's College, Cambridge. After time spent in Budapest playing chess, he studied rabbinics in London and Jerusalem, receiving semicha in 2008.
He led communities in Europe (Belgium and Luxembourg), in Asia (Singapore), and in New York.
In January 2024 he moved with his family to Switzerland where he works as the Senior Rabbi of the GIL, the Communauté Juive Libérale de Genève. Since December 2024 he is chair of ERA
